As seen from Earth, the Milky Way (“Voie Lactée” in French) resembles the movement of a wave. This ring of stars is translated onto paper with grace and poetry. It comes to life, unveiling the dance of billions of star with its volume and light. These effects are made possible by combining iriodine ink and a metallic lacquer on the first print.
It takes its deep colours from the tales of A Thousand and One Nights, and its exquisite shine from the starry sky. Evocative of the Orient, the collection takes shape, lifted by sandy, metallic or iridescent inks. In the interplay of volume and light the contours of a distant city on the Silk Road, the crest of a wave sparkling in the moonlight, an oasis at dusk or a sky dotted with stars appear.
